introduction
ALT Directory provides details of high paying ALT jobs in Japan. Some Boards of Education were accepting applications for direct hire ALT positions beginning in August/September. Pay offered was 300,000 yen or above per month. The ALT vacancies I knew about have all passed their application deadline. The majority of ALT jobs in Japan start to be advertised towards the end of the year for positions starting at the beginning of April.
what ALT directory can do for you
If you are searching for an English teaching job in Japan, as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT), where you can earn higher than average wages, you have come to the right place.
the service
I provide an email subscription service advising prospective Assistant Language Teachers of Japanese Boards of Education (BoE) who hire ALTs directly.
what's so good about that?
Salary is typically 30-40% higher working directly for BoEs than through recruitment companies. As a mailing list subscriber you will receive details of these employers directly to your inbox.
I now make over 40% more doing the exact same ALT job in Japan as I did when I first came with a recruitment company. For current English teachers and ALTs in Japan, making the transition to a direct hire job is possible once you know where to apply. Outside Japan it is even harder to locate quality ALT jobs in Japan. Prior to coming to Japan, I had no idea it was possible to earn as much teaching as I do now.
Joining the ALT Directory mailing list means you will receive details of some of the best ALT jobs in Japan as well as advice on securing a position that gives you higher than average disposable income.
who are you anyway?
I am Andrew Cowan and have been living in Shizuoka prefecture for almost 6 years, working as an ALT for 5 of them. During this time I have built up a network of contacts related to ALT jobs in Japan.
